Euless Municipal Court is very particular about no insurance traffic tickets. As attorneys, we understand the reasons behind the harsh penalties associated with no insurance violations. If a person is involved in a wreck with a driver who does not have insurance it can be devastating. This is why the legislature has granted Euless Municipal Court the authority to severely punish those charged with no insurance tickets.
First, if you have been charged with no insurance and want to retain a lawyer to assist you in Euless Municipal Court you are going to need to do one of two things:
-
Provide our office with an insurance binder establishing that you had a valid policy in place at the time of the stop or;
-
Provide our office with a current insurance policy purchased after the insurance traffic ticket was issued
If you do not provide a Euless ticket lawyer with one of the two listed above, you will not be able to keep the no insurance ticket off your record. If a no insurance ticket goes on your record you will also be charged $250.00 a year in surcharge penalties through Texas DPS. You will be further required to purchase SR-22 insurance or face having your driving privileges suspended until you do so.
